I tried with v. 20.6-SR7. After changing "hid.dll" with "hix.dlx" in "xwforensics.exe" as you double click it this windows error message appears: "X-Ways Forensics has stopped working" while in the "Messages" windows of X-Ways there is this line: "An exception of type 216 (page protection fault, high or unknown impact)" occurred at offset 00000000" and the program closes.

I meant change it to like hik.dll then use the emulator from before

At first i confused 32 and 64 bit versions of emulator. Now i got it right and the program "seems" to work, in other words when you start it it says "Genuinely licensed to Neviens" (tested with 20.6 SR7 and 20.7 SR4) but when you try to use it in a real case the 32 bit version manifests the same problems as the 64bit one. You open a case, add an image, the you close, reopen and it say the case has been opened "read only". You close, reopen as administrator and it opens read/write, so you add a second item, process it and sometimes it starts to log error 216 (page protection fault) but with or without this errors when you close and reopen the case you find items missing, file and folders names have first letter missing. Not really usable.
What i would like to ask to other users in the forum is if someone has proof of any version > 20.3-SR4 that can be used in real cases (not just saying "genuinely licensed ..." when started) and if so if he can share this version or give tips about how to make it work (really work).
